As a Transportation Operations Coordinator, you'll serve as a key point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure shipments move smoothly and service issues are resolved quickly. This role is ideal for someone with a strong customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude who wants to build a career in transportation and logistics.
Responsibilities
Provide Exceptional Customer Service
  • Serve as a primary contact for drivers and customers, responding to questions, concerns, and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and carrier partners while delivering a high level of service.

Support Transportation Operations
  • Monitor shipment activity and provide updates to customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and daily transportation activities to support on-time pickup and delivery performance.

Resolve Issues Proactively
  • Investigate and resolve shipment, delivery, and driver-related issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Work collaboratively with operations teams to identify solutions and minimize service disruptions.

Communicate Effectively
  • Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal business partners regarding shipment status and operational changes.
  • Escalate critical issues when necessary and follow through to completion.

Maintain Accurate Records
  • Enter and update shipment information, customer interactions, and operational details within company systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and timely documentation of transportation activities.

Support Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to a team-focused environment that values collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatch, operations support, call center, or related roles
  • Passion for helping customers and resolving issues with a positive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and business systems
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with drivers, customers, and cross-functional teams
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
