Job description

Join a supportive early childhood education team where your passion for teaching helps four-year-olds thrive and prepare for Kindergarten. Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center in Lake Orion, MI is seeking a dedicated and reliable GSRP/PreK classroom aide for the 2026-2027 school year.

In this full-time role, you will build meaningful connections with the teaching staff, children and their family members. You will gain knowledge of classroom operations and the HighScope curriculum. This is a foundational entry level role to help you build a career in early childhood education.
Position Detail

  • Status: Regular, full-time (benefit eligible)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10am-6pm
  • Desired start: August 24, 2026
  • Pay rate: Starting at $15/hour, additional compensation $18/hour for driving the 14-passenger bus
  • Location: Onsite, Lake Orion, MI
  • Please note this position does NOT qualify for US Visa Sponsorship or relocation

Requirements

  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with chauffer’s endorsement to drive the 14-passenger bus (highly desired and company reimburses cost)
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting background check
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate (can be completed within 30 days of hire)

Essential Functions

· Communicates openly with both parents and staff

· Provides active supervision at all times

· Activity planning (indoor and outdoor)

· Helping children with homework assignments, conflict resolution and other classroom interactions

· Feeding the children their afternoon snack

· Building respectful relationships in the classroom

· Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
