Job description

CDL Truck Driving Instructor - Weekday

Part-time position assisting with training commercial driving students to earn their Class A CDL and gain entry-level positions in the commercial driving industry. May assist with Class B instruction. Drug testing and medical certification as required by DOT guidelines. Full orientation and training is included for all new instructors. This is a part-time wage position, limited to 1500 hours within a 12-month period, with no benefits. There is potential eligibility for educational assistance for BRCC classes and job-related training and/or certifications. Review of applications will be ongoing. Qualified candidates may be contacted for an interview when/if a position is available.

Special Assignments - May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications - Class A CDL with full background check and driving record check. Knowledge of the commercial driving industry and DMV/DOT regulations. Good verbal/written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.

Additional Considerations - Experience with training/instruction and transportation logistics.
