Job description

Entry Level Software Developer — Plano, TX (Onsite)

$65,000 starting salary with our client partner after a paid, onsite training program. No prior experience required. No contract, no repayment obligation.

The role
Revature hires and trains motivated people to launch careers as Java full stack developers, then places them directly with a client partner in Plano who hires them as full-time employees at a $65,000 starting salary. You''ll begin with paid, full-time training, then move into real development work onsite with the client. Training and the client role are both onsite in Plano. Open to candidates across the DFW metro who are comfortable with a daily commute to Plano.

What you''ll do

  • Complete paid, full-time Java full stack training, built with input from our corporate clients
  • Work on real projects that prepare you for day one with the client
  • Get placed directly with our Plano client partner, who hires you as a full-time software developer at $65,000
  • No contract and no repayment obligation at any point

What we''re looking for

  • Bachelor''s degree or higher
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
  • Based in the DFW metro area and able to commute to Plano daily (onsite role)
  • Foundational programming knowledge, ideally in Java — you''re comfortable with core concepts like variables, loops, functions, and object-oriented basics (classes, inheritance). Familiarity with basic SQL is a plus. This can come from a degree, coursework, or self-study. No professional experience required, so entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • A natural problem solver with strong communication skills

About the process
As part of the process, you''ll complete a technical assessment covering programming fundamentals (Java-focused), basic databases, and general aptitude. It''s designed to confirm you have the foundation to succeed in training, not to trip you up.

During training you''ll have

  • Full-time pay while you train
  • Paid time off and 401(k)
  • Dedicated support staff throughout the program
  • A cohort of peers going through it alongside you

Why Revature
We''re one of the largest employers of emerging tech talent in the U.S., partnering with Fortune 500 companies, major system integrators, and government contractors. This role is a direct path into a full-time developer job with an established client.
