DEPARTMENT:        Anodizing

JOB TITLE:                Racker/Unracker 

REPORTS TO:          Department Manager with direction from Team Leader

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM- 2-days on, 2-days off, every other weekend rotating shift (2-2-3). 

STARTING PAY:      $20.35 per hour, with the ability to earn more.

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Anodize Trainee. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and assisting in the anodizing process of metal components. If you are detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply.

This entry-level position works in the Anodizing Department and is responsible for affixing aluminum pieces of different sizes onto titanium metal anodizing racks.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Examine articles for defects and sort articles according to extent of defects.
  • Rackers work side by side on a line, with no more than an arm's length between them.
  • Frequently lift parts weighing no more than 100 pounds with a partner.
  • Differentiate between different sizes, shapes, and styles of pieces.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment.
  • Accept feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the loads are up to safety standards.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the qualifications, knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively, self-motivated, self-starter with a minimum of three (3) months related experience and/ or will train hands on, and equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass company background check and drug screen.
