THE JOB
The Beverage Manager for the Vinyl Room at House of Blues Las Vegas is responsible for overseeing all beverage operations within an intimate, high-energy live music venue. This role ensures exceptional guest experience through efficient bar operations, curated beverage offerings, strong team leadership, and strict adherence to company standards and compliance requirements.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Operations & Service
  • Oversee day-to-day bar operations during live events and private functions in the Vinyl Room
  • Ensure fast, accurate, and high-quality beverage service in a high-volume, concert-driven environment
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all bar areas before, during, and after events
  • Collaborate with production and venue teams to align service with show flow and guest traffic

Inventory & Cost Control
  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
  • Monitor pour costs, shrinkage, and waste; implement controls to meet financial targets
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Optimize product mix based on sales trends and audience demographics

Staff Leadership & Development
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and barbacks
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate event details, sales goals, and service standards
  • Coach staff on upselling, efficiency, and guest engagement
  • Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and company policies

Guest Experience
  • Deliver a premium, music-driven hospitality experience aligned with the House of Blues brand
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly
  • Drive beverage program creativity (specialty cocktails, themed menus tied to artists/events)

Compliance & Safety
  • Enforce all local, state, and company alcohol regulations
  • Ensure ID checks and responsible service practices are consistently followed
  • Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards

Required:
  • TIPS and RAMP/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  • Ability to work late hours, weekends and holidays
  • 3 years supervisory experience in high volume restaurant/live entertainment environment
  • Working knowledge of restaurant and bar operations
  • Entry level knowledge of state, federal and local liquor laws, retail operations, computers (Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Skill in leadership, guest relations, decision making and staff schedule maintenance
  • Ability to engage in positive interaction with staff and guests, prioritize, organize, motivate staff, problem solve, delegate, follow-up, communicate, diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact
  • High School diploma

Preferred:
  • Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS
  • Experience in concert venues, nightclubs, or hospitality brands similar to Live Nation and House of Blues

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
  • Working environment is fast-paced, loud and stressful
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 35 lbs using proper lifting techniques
