Job description

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (4hour evening shift)
  • Competitive Wages
  • Weekly Attendance Bonus available for employees who work all scheduled shifts on time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate the leather or fabric cutting machine efficiently and accurately to cut patterns for sewing.
  • Load rolls of fabric or leather onto the cutting machine.
  • Inspect materials for quality, flaws, or defects before running cutting programs.
  • Accurately cut fabric or leather according to patterns loaded in the cutting system.
  • Follow all production specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and a safe, organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read and use a ruler accurately.
  • Strong visual accuracy to inspect materials and patterns.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Experience operating a fabric cutting machine (Gerber Z or similar systems preferred).
  • Ability to read and understand cutting patterns and yardage requirements.
  • Qualityfocused with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet established performance goals in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Positive, teamoriented attitude with strong reliability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift (4 hours).
  • Strong English communication skills:
    • Reading
    • Comprehension
    • Speaking
    • Writing

Safety Requirements

  • Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Required PPE:
    • Safety glasses

Working Conditions

  • Indoor, ventilated furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Concrete flooring.
  • Heated and cooled workspace.

Employment Details

  • Temporary, shortterm role created to support production backlog.
  • Employment is atwill and will end when the project is completed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
