Job description

Job Title: Porter

Classification: Non-exempt

Role Description

Dallas Country Club is currently seeking qualified individuals for the Housekeeping Porter position. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tend to facility to include needs of club members and guests.
  • Sweep and mop restroom floor; wipes mirrors and walls; cleans basins, lavatories, and showers.
  • Clean offices and other public areas throughout the club sports center and indoor tennis.
  • Restocks amenities such as tissue, toilet paper, towels, soap, shampoo, razors, after shave lotion, etc.
  • Provides the safety and security of all members’ and guests’ personal property.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies.
  • Transports amenities to and from laundry area.
  • Cleans and empties garbage cans and waste baskets throughout the property to include patios and entrances.
  • Cleans and maintains hot tub, sauna area and other special facilities and equipment in locker room.
  • Maintains beverages stations.
  • Shampoo carpets and scrub wax and buff hard surface floors as needed.
  • Attending departmental meetings.
  • Completes other assignments made by the housekeeping/supervisor manager.
  • Maintains tennis and pickleball courts inside and out
  • Maintain restrooms on golf course.
  • Maintain portable restrooms during special events.
  • Will work in the laundry 3 days a week.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must understand English.
  • This is an entry level position and training will be done by the assigned department.
  • Prior club, hotel housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and qualities:

  • Position requires extended walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and periodically lifting over 50 lbs.
