What will you do as a Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant is an Entry-Level position responsible for supporting repairs, preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, following safety procedures, and assisting with maintenance staff to ensure a clean and functional environment of the clinic facilities.


A day in the life of a Maintenance Assistant may include:

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
  • Perform and assist with building repairs such as painting, patching walls, and replacing light bulbs or fixtures, filters, hanging/mounting items per staff request.
  • Clean up after facility projects and repairs to maintain a safe and presentable appearance for staff and guests.
  • Perform routine cleaning of roof drains, parking drains, gutters, HVAC supply and returns, and other general facility systems.
  • Move furniture and equipment
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and report issues
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and on time
  • Fill in for courier staff when needed
