Entry Level Tech (Part-Time)

Location: Frankfort, KY, 40601 (On-Site Role Only)

Position Type: Part-Time

This is an entry level position. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of high school education, or equivalent, is required.
  • Prior experience (1+ years) in a healthcare or clinical environment is preferable.
Key Competencies

  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.

  • Proficient in basic computer operations and software usage.
Primary DutiesPatient Interaction amp; Support
  • Introduce new patients to office protocols and procedures.
  • Accurately document patient data and perform consistent measurements.
  • Uphold sterile practices and infection control standards.
  • Manage patient flow by determining testing order and escorting individuals from the waiting area.
  • Provide clear guidance on next steps and ensure patient comfort during wait times.
  • Perform preliminary testing on patients.
  • Adjust testing sequences as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Assist with contact lens operations.
Equipment Oversight
  • Identify and resolve minor equipment issues.
  • Inspect device connections and functionality.
  • Promptly report technical problems to the Lead Ophthalmic Technician.
Operational Support
  • Seek assistance from senior team members when tasks exceed current skill level.
  • Keep exam and procedure rooms clean and well-stocked.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support clinic operations.

This position operates in a professional office environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
