Job Summary:
We're currently seeking a talented Technical Project Manager, who will be housed in the Solutions department and will report to the Solutions Program Manager. This will be a full-time position and the Technical Project Manager is expected to work on-site at our office in Downtown Los Angeles.
The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Solutions team, gathering requirements, and managing the development and implementation of solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-code development, data modeling, and business process automation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the specified project team.
Essential Functions:
  1. Microsoft Power Project Management: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI (70%)
    • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
    • Developing project requirements and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
    • Manage and maintain partnerships with third-party resources and vendors.
    • Monitor expenditures in accordance with the budget.
    • Manage the relationship with the client's business team, subject matter experts (SMEs) and all key stakeholders.
    • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
    • Assist Program Manager to support complex projects - develop and implement project plans, obtain, and manage resources necessary for successful project completion.
  2. Networking and Business Development (20%)
    • Develop contacts and pitch the company's products or services to prospective clients.
    • Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions and identify new markets and customer needs.
    • Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.
    • Attend industry seminars and conferences for networking.
  3. Research (10%)
    • Research new technologies - recommend and implement technological solutions to meet business needs.
    • Providing input to project managers and senior leadership concerning potential process and design improvements related to technical developments in the Microsoft Power Platform field.
    • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated deep experience with software application lifecycle methods, processes, and tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within all departments of the organization and facilitate meetings with a business and a technical audience.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
Education and Experience (Required & Preferred):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent training and/or experience in large data examination
  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading Microsoft Power Platform Development or technical projects of a similar nature.
  • Solid understanding of low-code development principles and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of Agile project methodology.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud technologies.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications, such as Power Platform App Maker or Power Platform Developer, are a plus.
