    What you will do:
    • Operate plant equipment and associated systems
    • Complies with all safety policies and procedures
    • Monitor the process operation and equipment by making routine rounds to check equipment, taking process data readings, obtaining samples of various process streams, and performing basic laboratory analyses
    • Use acquired skills in the area of vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography, smell, feel, and listening to evaluate the process and equipment operator driven reliability (ODR Respond to and appropriately address process and equipment upsets
    • Identify operating problems and recommend actions to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality, mechanical, or safe operation of plant and equipment
    • Actively works with maintenance personnel to maximize efficiency including following schedules and having equipment ready for maintenance per schedule
    • Generate work requests to fix deficiencies in process areas
    • Use computers for job functions and training
    • Assist with startup, shut down, and operation of processes and equipment
    • Maintain a clean work environment free from hazards
    • Work a rotating 12-hour shift with overtime as needed (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
    • This position will require climbing stairs or ladders, entering confined spaces, or lifting up to 50 pounds as needed to complete tasks

    What you will bring:
    • A high school diploma or GED is required
    • Two years post High School-Technical training in craft discipline or chemical operator preferred
    • Must pass a series of tests including mechanical aptitude, mathematics and reading comprehension
    • Experience troubleshooting and finding solutions

    This is a full-time, temporary position with a term of up to 2 years, offering the potential to transition to a permanent role.
