Entry Level Electrical Installation Tech - Security & Low Voltage Systems
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $13.00 - $20.00 / hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Summary
Are you looking to build a high-demand skill set in low-voltage and security system installation? We are seeking a dependable Entry Level Electrical Tech to join a growing team in Baton Rouge!
This is an entry-level role with complete on-the-job training. You will start off pulling wire, using basic hand tools, and supporting lead technicians on security, audio/video, and smart system installations. We will cover and assist you with getting state-certified as an Apprentice!
Key Responsibilities
  • Cabling & Wiring: Pull wire and run low-voltage cabling for security systems, IP cameras, access control, Wi-Fi networks, and audio/video setups.
  • On-Site Support: Assist lead technicians with mounting equipment, installing hardware (such as video walls, motorized shades, and alarms), and staging job sites.
  • Tool Usage: Safely operate standard hand and power tools to perform daily tasks.
  • Certification: Participate in on-the-job training to earn state apprentice certification and build a career in the trade.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Skill Level: Entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn are welcome! Prior experience with low-voltage wiring, cabling, patch panels, or security/AV systems is a major plus.
  • Tool Familiarity: Comfortable using basic hand and power tools (drills, cutting pliers, voltmeters, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
  • Requirements: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR), background check, and 5-panel drug screen required.
  • Dress Code: Plain t-shirt or collared shirt, khaki pants, and closed-toe work shoes/boots.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, physically capable of active field work, and eager to learn a skilled trade.
