Audi North Austin is looking for Lube Technicians to join our team of service technician professionals!


Job Summary:

Entry Level Service Technicians / Lube Technicians assist customers with vehicle service request including oil changes or other express services such as fluid checks, minor repairs to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform Oil Changes: Drain old oil, replace oil filters, and refill engines with new oil.
  • Fluid Checks: Inspect and replenish essential fluids such as coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid.
  • Filter Replacements: Replace air, cabin, and fuel filters as needed.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and recommend additional services.  inspect engine block and underbody for leaks or potential issues.
  • Checking Tires: Check tire pressure and refilling tires with air as needed
  • Diagnose Issues: Consult with lead service technicians on team to diagnose and address vehicle issues.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers about services performed and maintenance needs.  Create detailed service reports for customers.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the work area organized and clean, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock maintenance supplies as necessary.
  • Drive Vehicles: Drive vehicles on and off service drive as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of automotive systems.
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to provide friendly customer service.


Education and Experience:

  • Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
  • Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • ASE certifications preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
