  • Coordinate escalations with senior IT staff, vendors and application owners.
  • Identify recurring issues and trends and bring them to the IT team's attention.

Endpoint & User Support

  • Install and update approved software and perform routine endpoint configuration.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding and authorized access changes.
  • Maintain accurate IT equipment and inventory records.
  • Support technology moves and changes across office, production and warehouse environments.

Junior Systems Administration
  • Assist senior IT staff with routine infrastructure and operational support.
  • Monitor assigned systems, alerts, services and scheduled processes.
  • Perform approved routine maintenance and administrative tasks.
  • Collect logs, screenshots and diagnostic information for higher-level troubleshooting.
  • Assist with basic LAN, WAN, server, application and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Support IT projects, upgrades, testing and deployments.
  • Follow established security, access-control, documentation and change-management requirements.

What We're Looking For
  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, technical support or junior IT administration preferred.
  • Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals/Associate certifications or similar are considered an asset, but are not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to support non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tickets and competing priorities.
  • Ability to recognize when an issue requires escalation.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
You should have working knowledge of:
  • Common workstation operating systems
  • Office productivity applications
  • User accounts and permissions
  • Endpoint hardware
  • Printers and peripherals
  • Basic network connectivity
  • Standard IT support practices

You should also be comfortable working independently on routine technical issues while collaborating with the broader IT team and learning Polytainers' applications, infrastructure and procedures.
What Will Help You Succeed

  • Customer focused and enjoys helping people solve technology problems.
  • A strong problem solver who takes the time to understand an issue before determining the solution.
  • Organized and able to keep tickets, documentation and follow-ups current.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • A collaborative team player who communicates professionally with people at all levels.
  • Adaptable and able to remain calm when priorities change.
