Entry-Level Electrical DesignerJob Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Electrical Designer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals beginning their careers in electrical design. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop electrical drawings, control panel layouts, and documentation for low-voltage electrical equipment used in industrial and manufacturing environments.

This role offers hands-on experience with electrical design software, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes while providing opportunities for professional growth and technical development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Support the design of low-voltage electrical assemblies and related equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
  • Learn to select electrical components under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with engineering change orders (ECOs) and revisions to existing designs.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure designs are completed accurately.
  • Follow company drafting standards and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design Technology, or a related field (or expected graduation within the next few months).
  • Internship, co-op, classroom projects, or hands-on electrical experience is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software preferred.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to learn new software, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to control panels, industrial electrical systems, or power distribution through school, internships, or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes or industry standards is a plus.
