PowerTec Distribution & Motor Control Corporation has evolved into a leading service and equipment provider in the power distribution industry. We provide services to the mining, oil and gas, and utility companies.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Arizona.

Position Summary

This position assists the Paint Department with entry level paint preperation work.

Essential Duties

  • Provides general entry level support to the Paint department.
  • Assist in the preparation of non-painted surfaces utilizing orbital sanders and sandblasting.
  • Complies with chemical, waste, storage, disposal, and best practice.
  • Ensures area is clean.
  • Identifies and reports problems observed outside of normal use.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
  • Experience working with hand tools.
  • Experience with sanding, forklift, sandblasting, and powder coating operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred one year of experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures including over 100 degrees and under 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to traverse uneven terrain, warm surfaces, and cold surfaces.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, and lay prone for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel for up to three days a week.
  • Able to and comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear a respirator according to OSHA stands.
