Position Title: Summer School Teaching Assistant
Organization: TES Staffing in collaboration with Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES
Pay Rate: $17.86/hour


Job Description

Are you ready to make a real difference while having fun and gaining valuable experience? Join TES Staffing as a Classroom Aide! This role is perfect for those who want to support students and make a difference in their community. You’ll be stepping into a rewarding and dynamic environment where you can help kids shine academically, socially, and emotionally.

Summer School Classroom Aides at various locations are needed throughout the region. Program dates vary by location and take place during July and August.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support instruction under the direction of the certified teacher
  • Assist with lessons, activities, and classroom materials preparation
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning
  • Provide support to students by adapting materials and approaches
  • Help maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Encourage positive behavior and student engagement
  • Supervise students during instructional periods and transitions
  • Ensure students feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn

Program Locations

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Cooperative Summer School program location:

  • Seneca-East Wayne County Middle School (Grades 6–8, Mynderse Academy)
