  • Read and interpret telecom drawings, floor plans, wiring schematics, and installation documentation.
  • Conduct cable routing, dressing, bundling, and labeling following customer standards and best practices.
  • Support cutovers, migrations, telecommunications room buildouts, and MDF/IDF upgrades.
  • Ensure all work complies with federal, security, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate installation documentation and support inventory tracking.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and government personnel to support project execution and timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems in enterprise or federal environments.
  • Strong knowledge of BICSI standards and telecommunications infrastructure best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Cat6 copper and fiber optic cable installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces such as telecommunications rooms, above ceilings, and under raised floors.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing throughout the workday.
  • Ability to pull and route copper and fiber cabling through ceilings, conduits, and cable pathways.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work in active construction, data center, and secure government environments.
  • Ability to travel between buildings or work locations across a campus environment as needed.
  • Must be able to comply with all site safety and security requirements.

The projected salary range for this position is $70,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
