Job Summary:

The entry-level Electrical Engineer will support electrical system design in the built environment including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as K-12 and higher education, healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support design of electrical systems including lighting, power, and life safety for existing facility renovations, new facilities and facility modernization projects.
  • Review design documentation and perform field surveys to document existing conditions and conduct construction administration.
  • Conduct load calculations for building equipment replacement and upgrades.
  • Support load sizing and service requirements for beneficial electrification projects.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 0-3 years’ design experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Interest in electrical engineering in the built environment for K-12, high education, healthcare, and commercial markets.
  • Basic proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to provide technical mentorship to engineers with less experience.
  • Ability to solve problems in an effective and timely manner.

Location: New York City

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
