Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026


Delve Underground Seattle office is seeking an entry level Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to assist our technical design team with a variety of office and field assignments, with a focus on geotechnical or structural engineering analyses, development of drawings, specifications, research, calculations, project coordination, organizational tasks, and technical memoranda for heavy civil projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design calculations under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Assist with the preparation of planning and design technical reports.
  • Review and evaluate instrumentation and monitoring data.
  • Assist with construction site inspections and daily reporting.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining contract drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Assist in reviewing construction submittals and requests for information.
  • Communicate effectively with other designer and construction management staff.
  • Work on a variety of office and field assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled college student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar program.
  • Coursework or experience in structural or geotechnical engineering preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience, AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
