The Role:
This is an exciting entry-level role in our rotational training program for new graduates. Up to 4 rotations in Finance and Accounting support roles offer broad exposure. Roles include assisting in internal controls, delegation of authority, audit reviews, and financial processing. Analysts learn various aspects of O&P USA business with mentors and supervisors for each rotation. Collaboration with commercial, business, and cross-functional teams enhances learning.
The rotational financial analyst supports various business assignments, each lasting approximately 6 months. Assignments may be at any of our 3 locations in the south Houston area (League City, Deer Park, Alvin), with rotation expected during the program. With up to 4 assignments over an estimated 2 years, analysts gain valuable skills and organizational knowledge before transitioning to their next Finance and Accounting role.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • As this is a rotational program, the specific accountabilities will depend on the role.
  • There are several areas that 6-month rotational roles will be assigned including (but not limited to):
    • Financial reporting
    • Manufacturing cost accounting
    • Capital expenditure process
    • Treasury & cash management
    • Accounts payable & Accounts Receivable
    • Commodity trading accounting & reporting
    • Polymer pricing and rebates
    • Freight & Logistics Accounting
    • Not-for-profit accounting in our Charitable Foundation
    • IT services accounting
  • Analysts are assigned a specific supervisor for each rotation, guiding their learning and tasks.
  • Analysts share roles with supervisors to learn and document tasks, enhancing technical skills.
  • Expectation for detailed documentation and a presentation at the end of each rotation.
  • Each analyst is assigned a mentor from Finance and Accounting managers for stability and support.
  • Mentor oversees salary and performs year-end reviews based on input from specific supervisors/roles.
  • Upon program completion, analysts transition to their next role in the O&P USA Finance and Accounting organization.

Skills & Knowledge Required
Education/Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required from an accredited university by December 2026 or May 2027.
  • 3.0 or greater GPA out of 4.0 is required.
  • While prior work experience is not mandatory, internships or co-ops in Finance and Accounting are advantageous.

The candidate should be skilled in the use of excel spreadsheets, data processing, and Microsoft office tools.
