CT Tech
Job Summary
The CT Tech performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position requires ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to perform high-quality scans.
Required Qualifications
 

  • Demonstrates understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
  • Proficiency in operating CT equipment with a strong understanding of CT imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Knowledge and understanding of protocols relating to contrast administration, including contrast injector operation as applicable.
  • Proficiency with electronic imaging, including the ability to view, transfer, and manipulate images.
  • Ability to recognize emergent patient situations and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills with caregivers and patients.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.


Preferred Qualifications
 

  • One (1) – Two (2) years of CT experience in a healthcare setting.


Required Certifications & Licensure
 

  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R).
  • Licensure in the state of practice as applicable.


Preferred Certifications & Licensure
 

  • Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT).
  • For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification.
