Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Respiratory Care Practitioner for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois.

Job Title: Resp Care Practitioner - UP
Location: Not specified
Job Summary: Perform routine and critical respiratory care procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Care Supervisor and Medical Director. Responsible for providing care to Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations. Duties include evaluating patient care plans, preparing and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment, accurately documenting in the EMR, completing patient assessments, and recommending timely interventions.
Required Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of all aspects of respiratory care
  • Associateโ€™s degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Illinois RCP license
  • NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist

  • None specified


Additional Information:

  • Disassembles, washes, rinses, dries, and packages respiratory equipment
  • Prepares and tests respiratory therapy equipment for proper and safe operation
  • Reports malfunctioning equipment to the manager
  • Processes and maintains respiratory equipment
  • Accurately charts on respiratory flow sheets in the EMR
  • Completes assessments on ventilator patients and other patients on respiratory care services
  • Recommends further treatment or referral as needed
  • Evaluates patients for routine respiratory care therapy in inpatient units and the Emergency Room
  • Obtains and analyzes blood gases (Arterial, Venous, and Capillary)
  • Assists with cleaning respiratory care equipment and stocking supplies
