Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a local contract nurse RN Wound Care for a local contract nursing job in New York, New York.

Job Summary:
Conducts health assessment interviews focused on wound, ostomy, and continence-related care. Performs focused physical assessments, develops plans of care based on diagnoses and individual client needs, and recommends medications and treatments as appropriate. Collaborates with the healthcare team, provides education, and participates in quality improvement activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
 

  • Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience
  • Wound and colostomy experience


Required Education:
 

  • Associate Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program


Required Certifications & Licensure:
 

  • New York State RN License
  • Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
  • AHA BLS
  • Current certification in one of the following:
    • Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) issued by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB)
    • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) issued by the WOCNCB
    • Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) issued by the WOCNCB
    • Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) issued by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM)
    • Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC) issued by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO)
