Job description

Join Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice as an Analyst and help organizations address complex challenges that matter. In this role, you will work alongside teams supporting transformation initiatives, improving performance, and helping clients generate measurable value. You will have opportunities to build consulting skills through hands-on experience, collaboration, and exposure across client environments.

Recruiting for this role ends on 7/26/2026.

Work you'll do

As an Analyst in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and build your individual brand within the organization.

While a career in consulting is dynamic and evolving, we look for people who will perform in specific areas, grow those related skills, and deliver exceptional results to our clients. We recognize that candidates bring different skills, experiences, and interests, so we align Analysts to skills-based profiles that support development and client impact. Setting our people up for success is a priority, and we are currently recruiting Accounting and Finance Analysts whose skills and interests align with the below description:

Accounting and Finance Analyst

This Analyst establishes and maintains financial policies, controls, and records in compliance with accounting principles and statutory requirements, ensuring accurate financial information and effective internal controls. You may also manage components of grant programs, including planning, budgeting, compliance monitoring, and leveraging firm technology assets for enhanced financial reporting and decision-making.

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to others

The team

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment

Preferred:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher
  • Internship, project, or coursework experience in accounting or finance
  • Meet minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location prior to beginning full-time employment
