What is an entry level startup?

An Entry Level Startup job is a position at a new or early-stage company designed for individuals with little to no prior professional experience. These roles often require adaptability, creativity, and a willingness to take on diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. Employees in these positions may work on marketing, product development, customer support, or operations, depending on the company's needs. Because startups are typically small and dynamic, entry-level employees have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and grow quickly in their careers.

What types of tasks and responsibilities can I expect in an entry level startup position?

In an entry-level startup role, your daily tasks can vary widely and may include supporting product development, assisting with market research, organizing team meetings, or handling customer inquiries, depending on the specific needs of the company. You'll likely collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing input and support where it’s needed most, which helps you build a broad skill set. It's common to wear multiple hats, so flexibility and a willingness to learn new processes are important. This dynamic work environment offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, quickly build your professional network, and potentially grow into more specialized roles as the startup expands.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the entry level startup position, and why are they important?

To thrive in an entry-level role at a startup, you need a mix of analytical skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, usually supported by a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with tools like Slack, project management platforms (such as Trello or Asana), spreadsheets, and basic marketing or coding platforms can be valuable depending on the startup’s focus. Strong communication, resilience in fast-changing environments, and collaborative problem-solving help you stand out. These abilities are essential because startups often require team members to quickly learn new skills, adapt to shifting priorities, and contribute broadly to dynamic projects.

Job description

About Us:

JUS Venue Solutions is a premier, fast-growing independent booking and entertainment management network based right here in Texas. Operating as a specialized division of JUS Official Services, we have completely shattered the old, outdated talent representation and venue management models to give independent entrepreneurs a direct path to financial freedom. We skip the forced, months-long corporate schooling and get our partners straight to booking.

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated, independent Venue Outreach Managers to scout, pitch, and secure commercial hospitality properties (bars, lounges, clubs, and event spaces) for premium entertainment slots. You will negotiate venue placement contracts and leverage our proprietary JUS Ticketing infrastructure to implement high-yield "slow night" performance packages. You act entirely autonomously, controlling your own schedule, your own hours, and your own path to success.

Core Responsibilities:

* Identify and pitch commercial venues requiring professional entertainment or attendance optimization.

* Negotiate standard B2B performance contracts and revenue-guarantee frameworks under our master corporate shield.

* Coordinate with our internal artist relationship teams to deploy vetted talent into locked-in venue slots.

* Manage regional communication and territory data folders using standardized JUS outreach scripts.

* Enforce strict corporate timelines, including our 14-day venue cancellation and deposit forfeiture parameters.

Qualifications:

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.

* Ability to work independently and manage an autonomous sales and outreach pipeline.

* High organizational skills to handle raw venue data and verify client compliance forms.

* Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a dedicated smartphone.

* Previous experience in sales, outreach, hospitality, or customer service is a plus, but not required due to our integrated entry-level certification modules.

Infrastructure Requirements:

Please note that all positions are structured as 1099 Independent Contractors managing their own micro-agencies. Selected candidates are responsible for a minor, tiered upfront startup software fee at checkout to cover their first month's master tracking seat, core regional database folder allocation, and entry-level compliance training modules. By default, all onboarding managers are instantly certified and authorized to operate within the State of Texas, with multi-region/state expansion certificates available.
