Job description

The University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM) is seeking individualsinterested in applying for the Standardized Patient and Human Model program on campus.


A standardized patient is a person willing and trained to portray an actual patient with a specific medicalhistory and physical exam findings for the purpose of instructing health professional students. A humanmodel is a person willing to serve as an actual patient for physical examination training by healthprofessional students. You are not required to do both; you may choose.


Interested candidates for the Standardized Patient and Human Model Program should have flexibleschedules, an ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and an interest in medicine andmedical education. Standardized patients and human models are hired by KYCOM as contracted and willbe paid an hourly wage for training and providing requested services. Interested individuals must be age18 or older to apply.
