Overview:
Our client is seeking a Database Developer to support enterprise data initiatives within a stable, highly collaborative technology environment. This role is heavily focused on SQL Server development, ETL processes, and database optimization while partnering with Business Analysts and application teams to design and implement scalable data solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys project-based work and wants to make a direct impact on enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database objects including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures
โข Develop, maintain, and optimize SSIS packages for ETL processes and data integration
โข Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts
โข Collaborate with Business Analysts and application developers to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
โข Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance and query execution
โข Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across multiple systems
โข Support database migrations, enhancements, and ongoing development initiatives
โข Document database structures, ETL processes, and technical solutions
โข Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
โข Work on multiple development projects while managing competing priorities
Preferred Experience:
โข 2+ years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience
โข Strong proficiency with T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, and database design
โข Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages
โข Experience with ETL processes and data integration
โข Knowledge of data modeling and relational database design principles
โข Experience with query optimization and SQL performance tuning
โข Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
โข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience preferred
