Position Type: Full-Time/Seasonal, September 2026-April 2027 (Entry-Level / Post-Graduate Internship)
Compensation: Paid, Monthly Stipend
Position Overview
The Huntsville Havoc are seeking a Ticket Sales & Operations Coordinator to support ticketing functions, game operations, and special event execution. This role is designed as a full-time, paid (monthly stipend) post-grad internship opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in sports management, event operations, and live entertainment. This position will run throughout the 2026-27 season (September through April).
This role blends ticket sales support with live event execution and operational logistics. This position provides exposure to multiple business verticals within a professional sports organization and serves as a developmental stepping stone for a long-term career in sports.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist ticketing staff with group and special event packages.
  • Provide customer service support for ticket holders and walk-in clients.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for fans visiting the front office.
  • Support ticket fulfillment, account management, and inventory organization.
  • Utilize Ticketmaster Archtics for ticket management, reporting, and customer account maintenance.
  • Assist with outbound sales campaigns and database management as directed.
  • Help coordinate, organize, and fulfill ticketing Will Call and Box Office duties.
  • Execute game-day setup and teardown, including signage, sponsor elements, tables, and concourse activations.
  • Provide on-site operational support during games and events.
  • Assist with post-event reporting and internal recaps.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, live-event environment
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays during hockey season
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and team-first mentality
  • Ability to lift and move event materials (up to 40 lbs)
  • Familiarity with Archtics, CRM Systems, and ticketing platforms (preferred but not required)

This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in professional sports. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and excited about being directly involved in creating revenue and ticket sales. This position offers broad exposure to game operations, event coordination, promotions, and revenue-generating initiatives within a professional hockey organization.
