Kleinfelder's Ontario, CA office is seeking an entry level Construction Materials Testing Technician / Driver to join our team on a flex basis.
We provide construction inspection and materials testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.
We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine driving, sample running, field/laboratory documentation, data entry, and laboratory testing. The successful candidate will be put on a career plan for an opportunity to advance their career into becoming a full-time Special Inspector and/or Materials Testing Technician.
Desired Skills
  • Willingness to work in the soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and steel laboratory when needed
  • Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn and grow with technological demands pertaining to daily field reports, field documentation and data, and laboratory test reports

In addition to the above desired skills, hiring preference with be given to those with any of the following desired certifications:
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1
  • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
  • Caltrans Soil, Aggregate, Concrete, and/or Asphalt

Must be able to use a computer and have a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record is required.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Pay Range: $20 - $23/hr.
