We’re an award-winning premier provider of cloud communication platform and services, video collaboration and managed IT services designed to provide enterprise-class cloud solutions to any size business, and we have an immediate opening for (2) entry level Staff I Accountant positions at the corporate office in Tempe, Arizona.


Job Description:

The Staff Accountant role is an ideal entry-level position for a recent graduate or someone with a couple years of accounting experience, which will play a key role in contract administration, revenue recognition, month-end close, SOX compliance, SEC reporting, and various other projects.


Duties and Responsibilities Could Include:

  • Accounts payable processing, including: working with various departments to obtain approval, invoice entry, invoice coding, processing check runs, and working with vendors on billing disputes
  • Monthly bank reconciliations, including: continuously monitors cash activity—reconciling cash receipts to bank activity and accounting system billings and revenue reports;
  • Ensuring that new contracts submitted by sales follow all documented requirements;
  • Setting up billing and revenue recognition schedules based on ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers;
  • Working with the sales department on how to structure complex agreements;
  • Calculating sales commissions and creating commission statements;
  • Assisting the finance support department in investigating billing inquiries from customers;
  • Month-end close procedures, including: preparing account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, preparing journal entries, and researching expense fluctuations;
  • Assisting auditors with quarterly review, annual audit, and internal control document requests;
  • Assisting with SOX compliance testing;
  • Assisting with quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including 10-Qs and 10-K.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required;
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills required;
  • The ability to manage time, tasks, and resources effectively, ensuring productivity and efficiency
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to work independently at times with minimal supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to confidently interact with all levels in the organization.
