Job description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Report to Technical Director. Entry level role to specific production area process engineering.
  • Calibrate laboratory hardware daily and perform routine inventory.
  • Perform laboratory testing for Product Development projects.
  • Coordinate/document Product Development trials.
  • Update documentation of laboratory procedures and systems as changes are made/added.
  • Provide technical support to the production department engineers and managers as needed.
  • Active involvement in paper quality audits and evaluations.
  • Non-business hours may be required to support operations and trials.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the paper production processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in CAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
  • Able to work independently and seek out new problems or opportunities as operational knowledge increases.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical engineering required. 3.0 core GPA minimum required.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours daily.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
