Job description

The Co-Op program is a three-way partnership between a student, the university and FANUC America Corporation. The program is based on an alternating full-time rotational program where students alternate academic terms with work terms of progressively challenging work while pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Engineering field.
We are looking for someone to start with the January 2027 work term.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for learning, a strong work ethic and be open to continuous growth and development.
Primary responsibilities will include:
  • 16-week work assignments focused on the various engineering/technical groups within the Central office based on the student's major
  • Assignments will typically start in an entry level discipline then progress through other areas of the organization as students' progress in their degree program including:
  • Basic robot programming classes
  • Software preparation and loading
  • Demo system coding and testing
  • ASI support and engagement when ready.
  • Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
  • Gain direct insights into the world of automation

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls or Computer Engineering - Controls preferred
  • Some involvement with technical related programs either through school or in an extracurricular program such as FIRST Robotics
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this program.
  • Completed at least freshman year of coursework
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaboratively work within a team

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and basic engineering software
