Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and performance of our power converter products through the design, development, and maintenance of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software. If you are passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of power converter products, possess a background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, Six Sigma, and thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this Test Engineer position. 

Job Description

   ATE Hardware and Software Design: Design and build proprietary ATE hardware and software solutions to facilitate comprehensive testing of power converters. 
   Test Software Development: Develop test software modules using Universal Software Test Architecture (USTA), leveraging programming languages such as C and Visual Basic. This includes working with a variety of computer platforms and embedded microcontrollers. 
   Utilize advance statistical tools such as Minitab, JMP, SPC, DOE, and regression analysis to analyze process performance and drive data based quality improvements in manufacturing operations. Lead or support Six Sigma (DMAIC/DMADV) initiatives to reduce process varieties, improve product quality and enhance manufacturing operation efficiency. 
   Instrumentation Integration: Evaluate and integrate "off-the-shelf" instrumentation components with communication protocols, such as GPIB, VXI, PXI, and Serial, into the testing infrastructure. 
   Collaboration with Design Engineering: Work closely with the Design Engineering team to develop and maintain new test procedures and test circuit schematics that align with product specifications and design requirements. 
   Collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering: Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to provide ongoing support and optimization of existing ATE systems, contributing to efficient production processes. 
   Documentation: Thoroughly document all stages of software and hardware development, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the testing process. 

Education / Qualifications

   BSEE with 2+ years of analog design experience or test engineering for analog products.  
   Must possess a working knowledge of Windows 10 and embedded Operating Systems.  
   Programming experience with high-level object oriented languages C++. Visual Basic programming experience is also desirable. 
   Experience with Databases (Oracle, SQL or ODBC) a plus. 
   ATE and Microcontroller programming 
   Experience of power supply testing, analog & digital hardware involving power electronics, drafting tools Altium or equivalent are highly desirable.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: 

$85,000 - $105,000
