Software Test Automation Engineer
The Opportunity:
Work independently and work with test engineers and DevOps teams, business analysts, and developers to review software design and requirements documentation to understand the application functionality. Lead a team of test automation engineers, lead the test automation strategy, manage the automation framework, perform and oversee level of effort estimates, test plans, test case scripting, peer reviews, and test summary reports to ensure a successfully tested release. Conduct manual and functional testing and create automated test and performance test scripts using Selenium or Rational tools, including Performance and Functional Tester. Test key functionality, setup and verify data, and report test results to the manager. Assume responsibility for interacting with clients on a daily basis during testing phases to ensure that release testing defects are communicated to the client or support UAT.
You Have:
  • Experience with manual functional, regression, usability, integration, remote access, and accessibility testing
  • Experience with developing scripts from scratch with programming code, such as Java, JavaScript, or Python, and developing an automation framework from scratch
  • Experience with Web services testing, including developing scripts using web services tool
  • Experience serving as SME in SQL, DB, and back-end testing
  • Experience developing level of effort estimates and testing schedules for own work and others, and authoring test plans, test case scripting and test summary reports
  • Experience testing in an Agile development environment using tools, such as JIRA, Confluence and Zephyr Scale to develop and execute functional and regression test scripts, Requirements Traceability, and manage defects
  • Experience with Section 508 testing using tools such as JAWS, SortSite, Dragon, WAVE, or Lighthouse
  • Experience working with a client during User Acceptance Test sessions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
