Location: Suffolk, VA
AERMOR LLC is hiring a Software Test Engineer. This role requires the employee to perform tasks associated with software testing, quality assurance, and validation within a DevSecOps environment. The individual will support Agile product development teams and ensure systems meet functional, regulatory, and performance requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
 
  • Perform test planning, development, and execution of test cases and test scripts
  • Apply Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Support testing activities within a DevSecOps environment, including CI/CD integration
  • Create and manage user stories, use cases, and feature descriptions with a focus on incremental value delivery
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
  • Validate system functionality against requirements, policies, and regulatory standards
  • Test and evaluate automated business or financial systems to ensure accounting functionality is implemented as designed and compliant
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Utilize tools such as VSCode, Jupyter Notebooks, AWS SageMaker, and Azure Machine Learning
  • Develop and execute tests for applications built using: Python, C# , GoLang , ASP / ASP.NET ,HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Maintain documentation and reporting using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Required Skills and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, OR equivalent coursework demonstrating a computer-related background
  • Professional IT certification(s) in one or more of the following areas: Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google), Virtualization (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft), Systems Administration (Microsoft, Red Hat, Linux), or Software development.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Agile Scrum Master certification (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience applying Agile methodologies in product development
  • Experience with test methodologies in a DevSecOps environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
