Field Services Specialist – Reality Capture

Quantum Reality Capture (QRC) is looking for a motivated, technology-minded individual to join our team in Charleston, SC.


This is an entry-level opportunity, and recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with reality capture technology is a plus, but we’re primarily looking for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable learning new technology, and excited about spending significant time traveling to project sites. This position requires frequent travel. You’ll work directly with clients at sites across the region and beyond while using advanced reality capture technology in the AEC industry.


What You’ll Do

  • Travel frequently to client project sites to coordinate and conduct onsite reality capture
  • Operate a variety of LiDAR scanners, drones, and photography equipment
  • Learn how to properly operate new scanning technologies as QRC adopts different equipment and workflows
  • Capture existing buildings, facilities, and environments for architecture, engineering, construction, and BIM applications
  • Process raw point cloud data before delivery to our BIM and modeling teams
  • Coordinate project travel, scheduling, and field logistics
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and internal tracking
  • Track expenses and submit required project reporting
  • Maintain, organize, and help manage reality capture equipment
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of LiDAR, 3D scanning, drones, and reality capture technologies
