Vantor is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our Accuracy & Quality team. We are looking for an enthusiastic developer who is passionate about solving complex problems and delivering customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and develop technologies related to image processing, remote sensing, geospatial systems, and AI-driven applications.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection ofcutting-edgegeospatial and photogrammetric technologies and modern software engineering. Our solutions are deployed primarily in AWS cloud environments and support advanced data processing and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, deploy, andmaintainsoftware services and applications.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with team members during daily stand-ups.

  • Demonstrate working software and contribute to iterative product development.

  • Monitor andmaintainAWS-based system health and performance.

  • Participate in system design, requirements gathering, and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate across teams to integrate and enhance tools and systems developed by peers.

  • Continuously improve programming skills and leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and software quality.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, andoptimizesoftware systems and services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 1+ years of professional software development experience.

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience developing applications in Python and/or C++.

  • Experience building service-oriented architectures and API-driven applications using Flask or similar frameworks.

  • Experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes in AWS environments.

  • Strong understanding of Docker containerization technologies.

  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL.

  • Understanding of software operations, monitoring, debugging, andmaintaininghealthy production systems.

  • Familiarity with Agile software engineering practices and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud platforms.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of geospatial, geodesic, photogrammetric, or remote sensing technologies.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented with a willingness to work closely with technical systems and processes.

Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate's experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $82,000.00 - $109,000.00 - $119,900.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
