Job Overview

Our mission is to build the future technology stack for our software development teams to leverage. The platform technologies we build will support the firm's entire investment process from portfolio construction to trading and trading analytics, middle and back office functions. We are seeking a senior level software developer to work with our team of experts, building new technology frameworks that allow users to access data and existing systems across the entire Arrowstreet Investment Process.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the team on designing and implementing software platforms for hosting micro services, event-driven real-time communication between components, as well as a common web platform for micro front ends. A successful candidate must be passionate about technology and understand software design patterns. They should be self-motivated, process-driven and a problem solver. This role is responsible for designing software solutions which take complex investment ideas and bring them to life. Collaboration with other software development leads and teams is a critical part of the success in this particular role.

Qualifications

  • Great communication, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated experience interacting and solving problems with users

  • Maturity, accountability, and ownership of projects/tasks

  • Good collaboration with other teams within IT and a mindset for solutions that leverages a common foundation and development principles

  • At least 5 years of experience with Python and/or C#

  • At least 3 years of experience with DevOps / CI/CD pipelines, and Agile Scrum

  • At least 2 years of experience with Cloud, preferably AWS

  • At least 2 years of experience with Docker / Kubernetes / Serverless

  • At least 2 years of working with message / event based architectures

Additional Preferences

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks

  • Platform Engineering or Composable Application experience is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $325,000 per year.
