Amentum is seeking a motivated Subcontracts Administrator I interested in supporting the full life cycle of subcontract administration in the aerospace and aviation industries. In this entry-level role, you will assist in the preparation, negotiation, administration, and closeout of subcontract agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a desire to learn and develop their career in subcontract management. This position is approved for US remote telework and requires U.S. Citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process subcontract documentation, including agreements, task/delivery orders, modification requests, and correspondence.
  • Review and evaluate vendor proposals, ensuring completeness, pricing accuracy, and compliance with guidelines.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assisting with the development of procurement documents such as Statements of Work (SOW) and proposal instructions.
  • Track subcontract deliverables and milestones to ensure timeliness and compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of subcontract activities within company systems like Costpoint.
  • Support invoice reviews, payments, and reconciliation.
  • Assist with subcontract closeouts and ensuring compliance with company and government policies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, accounting, and finance departments to support project and subcontracting needs.

Responsibilities may evolve as you grow into the role, with guidance and mentorship provided by senior team members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to develop skills in subcontract management and government compliance.
  • Basic understanding of business principles or contracting processes (on-the-job training is provided).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Typically 4+ years of relevant experience with Associates degree; or 0-2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Two years of experience may substituted for each year of required college education.
  • U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship, co-op, or 1 year of work experience in contracts, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Exposure to government contracting or federal regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS) is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or aviation industries is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Experience using systems like Costpoint or ERP software.
  • Strong desire to pursue a career in contracts, procurement, or supply chain management.

Compensation Details:
65-75K depending on experience
