Job Title: Belt Slitting Operator
Department: Production
Supervisor: Plant Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary of Job: Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Belt Slitter will be responsible for resizing abrasive belts according to customer specifications, or all of the various duties and tasks in the Belt department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Regular tasks performed and outcomes to be accomplished on the job. Other duties may be assigned.
· Review work orders, blueprints, and/or specifications to determine setting requirements for roll slitting machines.
· Measure dimensions of abrasive rolls to verify conformance to specifications.
· Weigh finish product.
· Conduct test runs of production equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance on slitting machine.
· Keep accurate records of production output.
· Must meet or exceed average daily production rates.
· Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
· Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The listed requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. · Must have full operating knowledge of the slitting machine.
· Knowledge of safety procedures related to operating machinery and handling materials.
