How much do entry level ski patroller jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 30, 2026, the average yearly pay for entry level ski patroller in the United States is $45,046.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $37,000.00 and $50,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How much does a ski patroller make?

Entry-level ski patrollers typically earn between $12 and $20 per hour, with annual salaries ranging from approximately $25,000 to $40,000. Pay can vary based on location, experience, certifications, and the size of the ski resort.

What qualifications do you need to have to be Ski Patrol?

To become an entry-level ski patroller, candidates typically need current CPR and first aid certifications, such as EMT or WFR, and must complete ski patrol training courses. Good skiing or snowboarding skills and the ability to work in cold, outdoor environments are also essential.

What is the difference between Entry Level Ski Patroller vs Certified Ski Patroller?

AspectEntry Level Ski PatrollerCertified Ski Patroller
CertificationsBasic First Aid, CPR, OEC (Outdoor Emergency Care) certificationAdvanced OEC, additional certifications, ongoing training
Work EnvironmentBeginner terrain, supervised settingsAll terrain, independent decision-making
ResponsibilitiesAssisting injured skiers, basic rescue, safety patrolLeading rescues, complex emergencies, safety management

The main difference between an Entry Level Ski Patroller and a Certified Ski Patroller lies in experience, certifications, and responsibilities. Entry level patrollers typically perform basic safety and rescue duties on beginner terrain, while certified patrollers handle more complex emergencies and have advanced training. Certification levels and experience determine the scope of duties and independence on the job.

What jobs pay $2000 a day?

Entry level ski patrollers typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily earnings are usually associated with specialized or highly experienced roles like top executives, certain medical professionals, or high-paying consultants. Most ski patroller positions offer seasonal pay and do not reach this daily rate without significant experience, certifications, or additional responsibilities.

Is it hard to become a ski patroller?

Becoming an entry-level ski patroller requires completing certification courses such as CPR, first aid, and outdoor rescue training, which can take several weeks to months. Candidates typically need to have strong skiing or snowboarding skills, physical fitness, and sometimes prior experience in outdoor or emergency services; the process can be competitive depending on the ski resort.
