About Us

Cleaveland/Price specializes in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnect switches and switch automation products. The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications. All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company also utilizes specialized processes, such as MIG and TIG welding, friction welding, silver and tin electroplating, and silver brazing. Your Goal

To build and prepares wooden crates in preparation for the shipment of manufactured goods. May operate on First Shift (6:00am 2:30pm) or Second Shift (1:30pm 12:00am).

Your Responsibilities

Construct and label wooden crates and boxes according to work instructions and blueprints. Measure, cut, and assemble crate components using hand and power tools. Coordinate work with the shipping schedule to meet delivery deadlines. Operate power saws, lift tables, shrink wrap machines, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Verify product identification, quantities, and packaging requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed. Ensure all tasks meet quality, safety, OSHA, and ISO standards. Keep work areas organized and free of hazards; use required PPE at all times. Assist with other shipping or production duties as needed.

Qualifications

Your Background

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in material handling, shipping, or warehouse work preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math and measurement skills required. Comfortable operating hand tools, nail/staple guns, saws, and banding tools. Basic computer skills for viewing drawings and documentation.

Physical Requirements

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25lbs. of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects that are 10lbs. Must have the dexterity to feed material into saws and transport material across the shop floor. Standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the shop floor or in other work area where mandated (i.e. steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and/or other applicable PPE).
