The Entry Level Mechanic is responsible for servicing vehicles as assigned by the Service Advisors or Service Dispatcher. Start your career with us by checking and changing the engine oil/filter; checking tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. You will know how to (or learn how to) top off or replace these fluids and maintenance-related parts as required. In addition, the Entry Level Mechanic may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer.
After proving yourself and mastering these skills, we will advance you into our Technician apprentice program and you will learn from the best Mechanics while we pay you!
The ideal Entry Level Mechanic has an unrestricted driver's license, a clean driving record, a strong work ethic and desire to build a career, an aptitude and interest in vehicle maintenance, and strong analytical and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expertly checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required
  • Maintains an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
  • Performs routine service inspections and tests, changes engine oil/filter, and lubricates chassis and other major components
  • Drives vehicles in and around the premises as needed
  • Adapts to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry
  • Performs routine vehicle servicing activities as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One year of vehicle servicing experience
  • An impressive work ethic
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
