Description

Green Garden Products, a subsidiary of Central Garden & Pet, the number one supplier of top-quality flower seeds and non-GMO vegetable seeds for the gardening industry, is now seeking an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to work onsite Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm at the Norton, MA facility. This is a non-exempt, full time position.
 
Here at Green Garden Products, we love to help things grow. It's really what we are all about. Our Inside Sales Representatives spend each day selling the largest brand names in gardening to retailers all over the country. At the same time, they are growing themselves: growing in work experience, growing in confidence, growing their career. This Entry Level role is an open door that leads to the rest of your career. The pay for this position ranges from $15 - $18 per hour, based on experience.
 
RESPONSIBILTIES 
  • Spend 75-90% of time on the phone, high volume of inbound and outbound sales calls to existing retail customers and new prospective customers
  • Maintain detailed notes about interactions with customers and prospects
  • Grow the company’s customer base by onboarding new retailers and distributors
  • Manage and cross sell to a large group of current accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating in a professional manner, resolving any issues when answering incoming calls
  • Handle, resolve, and escalate customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as required to help the success of the department or team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years in customer service preferred but not required
  • High energy and love of speaking to customers/prospects
  • Good team partnership
  • Computer literacy with MS Office required
  • Well organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills
