Position Description: Maintenance Technician  General Labor

Maintenance Technician at LayerZero Power Systems LLC. is responsible for providing mechanical, electrical, and technical support across the entire facility, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe work environment. This is not an entry-level position; successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform all essential duties with a high level of skill and reliability. We are seeking a well-organized, proactive, and communicative individual to join our team and support the ongoing performance and safety of our operations. 

Requirements

Primary Duties: 

  • Conduct inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs. 
  • Repair walls, floors, doors, windows, and other structural elements. 
  • Maintain lighting systems, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures. 
  • Follow scheduled maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns. 
  • Document maintenance activities and report potential issues. 
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. 
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately. 
  • Assist with moving materials, supplies, and equipment. 
  • Clean and organize work areas, storage rooms, and common spaces. 
  • Support other departments with manual labor tasks as needed. 
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. 
  • Request or order replacement parts when necessary. 
  • Keep tools and equipment in good working conditions. 

Experience & Skills: 

  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Availability to work overtime hours 
  • Performing at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment 
  • Experience operating high low or forklift 
  • Excellent documentation skills  
  • Strong attention to detail

Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED required, technical or trade school preferred.
