Job Description
THE SEO'S SKILL SET • Experience with Google and Bing's services, including Analytics and Webmaster Tools • Experience with Google's Keyword Tool, SEM Rush, Market Samurai, etc. • A functional understanding of HTML and CSS • The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills • Proven success in link building and viral strategies • The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy • A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO • Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs • A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations • An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry • Familiarity with the best tools in the trade.
• Responsible for managing and implementing successful paid search campaigns, demonstrating revenue goals, efficiency and volume • Audit search and display efforts of potential clients and provide insight as to how ROI can be increased • Competitor research to support keyword research • Understand and manage creative campaigns to improve ad performance and quality CTRs • Work with Designers or Developers to optimize landing pages for optimum quality scores and create branding of banners, etc. for key data capture • Responsible for bid management, keyword research and specific country targeting. Optimize campaigns with text for ads, etc. • Ensure evaluation and tracking is in place to monitor campaigns • A/B testing setup and tracking • Identify opportunities to grow leads and improve profitability of campaigns • Understand display advertising on new networks, outside of Google.
MAIN point is have to be very proficient when it comes to tracking and segmenting. We will be constantly testing new landing pages A/B testing headlines, videos, new content. And we need someone to have a dashboard with as much as a 100 campaigns running at the same time then view the data and see which one's we shut off or which one's we dump more money into.
Qualifications
• 1-3 years experience buying online media for direct response • Strong experience in affiliate and performance marketing • Experience with building and managing a media plan • Proven track record of success in previous job (e.g. helped a client achieve X business goal; retained a client for X amount of time) • Preferred example(s) of success: Helped a client grow their overall profit with paid search and has the numbers to back it up, helped a client reach a target CPA/ROAS and has the numbers to back it up • Experience in paid channels and/or experience with programmatic display • Strong background in direct response, managing campaigns to ROI • Extensive split testing experience and serving as a primary stakeholder for conversion funnel improvements • Experience with copywriting and writing copy for conversions • Ideally, the candidate planned, implemented and ran actual paid search campaigns for an actual company • Digital marketing background is preferred
