What is the role where you will make an impact?

Staff Accountant:

Under direct supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant I will be responsible for performing entry level accounting functions covering a broad range of reconciling and analyzing a variety of balance sheet accounts. The Staff Accountant I will have working knowledge in Accounting and will have the ability to apply standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

What will you do in this role?

  • Preparing and reviewing account analysis/reconciliations. Includes month end/year end work of creating and entering Journal Entries
  • Creation of monthly workpapers for Balance Sheet ending balances
  • Understanding and documenting process flows
  • Researching and documenting accounting transactions
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Accounts Payable Vendor GL Coding
  • Inventory Management – Cycle Counts creation and entering updates in system
  • Budget Work (setting up costs for new year)
  • Year end audit work
  • Fixed Asset Management – Keep copies of invoices for fixed asset purchases
  • Other duties as assigned

What skills do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possesses strong math aptitude, work accurately with numbers, good organization skills and ability to efficiently operate standard office equipment. Strong analytical ability and thorough understanding of computer systems and accounting principles.
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Possesses strong math aptitude, work accurately with numbers, good organization skills and ability to efficiently operate standard office equipment. Strong analytical ability and thorough understanding of computer systems and accounting principles.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels.
  • Requires a strong Team player
  • Experience in LN or other ERP systems a plus

The compensation range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 plus bonus potential.
