Responsibilities


· Shadow* hands on training* senior staff/group leaders for a training period up to six months.

· Provide technical support and information to customers and field sales staff as needed, until completion of service request.

· Follow ECI QA procedures and work instructions as directed in ECI service shop and on site.

· Respond to scheduled and unscheduled repairs

· Performs assembly and assists with troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on related instrumentation.

· Responsible for assembling and disassembling of components and instrumentation as instructed.

· Performs calibration on mechanical and electronic instruments, machinery, and components.

· Ability to work during outage season and adhere to vacation blackouts (typically October and April each year).

· Ability to respond to occasional on-call requests outside the regular work hours.

· Notifies supervisor regarding parts or equipment in need of repair or replacement.

· Performs all duties according to safety procedures and safety best practices.

· Extensive travel required for this position-overnight stays are common; valid driver’s license is required.

· Ability to take to Mechanical Aptitude Test and submit to random drug and alcohol testing through DISA program.

· Notifies supervisor of any safety concerns on or off-site.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Up to 2 years’ experience preferred in the field or in a related area.

· Ability and knowledge of how to use hand tools.

· Ability to understand instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform necessary functions of the job.

· Strong technical aptitude.

· Ability to multitask.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work under immediate supervision as well as independently – constantly checking in with supervisor if he/she does not know the next step or the answer.

· Curiosity and desire to learn.

· Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
