Summary/Objective
The Entry Level Compliance Technician will be responsible for routine LDAR and SPCC inspections, client interaction, routine reports, updating plans and drawings, communications with manager, and special projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
  • Conduct routine OVA and Method 21 LDAR inspections at a variety of industrial facilities.
  • Conducting routine SPCC inspections at a variety of industrial facilities.
  • Writing reports using Microsoft word and excel, generating power point presentation, utilizing Vizio to update facility schematics.
  • Assisting in the peer review process with other team members.
  • Conducting inventories for SPCC.
  • Assists with communications between Alliance team members and clients.
  • May be responsible for collecting stormwater samples as needed.
  • Attends safety training and incorporates safety into all job performance areas.
  • Maintain knowledge and fluency with current and changing regulatory laws for the projects managed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities; may provide guidance to other team members/individuals.
Required Qualifications
  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENT - High School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree or college background in environmental science recommended/preferred.
  • 5+ years of testing experience, including auditing experience preferred.
  • Previous LDAR and LDAR database experience is preferred. Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Vizio), Adobe Products, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Industry knowledge, with strong mechanical aptitude. Use of basic office equipment: scanner, copier, and PC.
  • Valid driver's license. The ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card may be required.

  • Good written and vocal communication skills (Internally and with Clients and Regulators)
  • Professional appearance and behavior.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with the ability to multi-task and work well in groups or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and office environment.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may travel extensively to industrial work sites and be required to deliver results on strict deadlines. Overnight travel may be required based on the location the position is filled. Work may be performed in hazardous or extreme working conditions, and work from heights.
Physical Demands
  • Position requires constant work whether directly working on a project or behind the scenes preparing for one. Entails physical demands of testing, along with the mental stress of balancing personal issues with the amount of travel required.
  • Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, smart devices, and copiers is needed.
  • When traveling and on job sites, employees may occasionally be exposed to extreme environmental conditions or industrial hazards, including extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, vibration, atmospheric conditions, etc. Position involves physical activity up to and including moderately heavy work. Position constantly involves walking, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Position frequently involves carrying, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing, handling, grasping, feeling, and other repetitive motions. The position involves frequent exposure to heights and requires climbing stairs and ladder. Position requires ability to hear, talk, and communicate regularly.

Travel
Varies based on project scope but may require travel up to 50% of the time. Depending on the assignment and the remoteness of the site, may require a greater level of travel and travel on weekends.
